SolarGard Ceramic Window Tint

Ceramic tint is the film we recommend to most people. SolarGard ceramic uses nano-ceramic particles to reject heat and block UV without darkening the glass more than you want. The result is a cabin that stays cooler, a clear view that does not distort at night, and interior materials that do not bake in the sun.

Heat and glare are the main reasons people come to us. A Utah summer turns a parked car into an oven, and the glare through the windshield is exhausting on a long drive. Ceramic film cuts both. You feel the difference the first time you get in after the car has been sitting in the sun.

UV does not just affect your skin. It breaks down leather, dash, and trim over time. Ceramic film blocks UV across the board, protecting you and the interior you paid for. And unlike low-grade film, a quality ceramic tint holds its color and does not turn purple or hazy.

A clear view at night matters. Some films look fine in daylight but turn the road into a dark, unclear mess after sunset. SolarGard ceramic keeps the glass clear and neutral, so night driving stays sharp and safe.

Film quality and install quality both matter. A great film installed poorly will bubble, peel, or look uneven. We use SolarGard because it is a proven, reliable brand, and we take the time to install it clean. If you are also thinking about protecting your paint, tint pairs well with paint protection film and many of our customers do both.

Windshield Tint

The windshield is the largest piece of glass on your vehicle. It is also where the most heat and UV come through. A clear or light heat-rejecting film on the windshield cuts both without darkening your view of the road.

Utah law requires the windshield to allow at least 70% of light through. We use a nearly clear film that meets that standard while still rejecting heat and blocking UV. You get the comfort without the legal risk.

If you want more shade at the top, we also install a sun strip, a darker band across the top of the windshield that cuts glare from the sun low in the sky. It is a practical add-on that many drivers appreciate.

Panoramic Glass Roof Tint

Teslas, Rivians, and other modern EVs come with large glass roofs. The glass looks great, but it lets in a massive amount of heat. On a summer day, the cabin under a glass roof gets hot fast, and the glare from overhead is real.

We install a light ceramic film on panoramic glass roofs that cuts the heat and glare while keeping the open, bright feel that made you want the glass roof in the first place. The film is nearly clear, so you keep the view and lose the oven.

If you drive a glass-roof EV in Millcreek or anywhere along the Wasatch Front, this is one of the most effective comfort upgrades you can make. Get a straight quote and see for yourself.

Window Tint FAQ

Is ceramic tint worth it?+
For most people, yes. Ceramic tint rejects more heat than any other film type, blocks UV, and holds its color over time. If you spend real time in your car during Utah summers, the difference is something you feel.
What is the difference between ceramic and carbon tint?+
Ceramic tint uses nano-ceramic particles to reject heat and UV while keeping the glass clear. Carbon tint uses carbon particles for a dark, matte look with solid heat rejection. Ceramic gives you the best heat reduction; carbon gives you a deeper look at a mid-range price. At 4s Custom, we install ceramic film only.
How dark can I legally tint in Utah?+
Utah requires at least 43% light transmission on the front side windows. The back sides and rear can be any darkness. The windshield must allow at least 70% of light through. We walk every customer through the options so you stay legal.
Can you tint a windshield in Utah?+
Yes, but the film must allow at least 70% of light through. We use a nearly clear heat-rejecting film on windshields that cuts heat and UV without darkening the glass. A sun strip at the top is also an option.
Does ceramic tint fade?+
Quality ceramic film holds its color. SolarGard ceramic is engineered to resist fading and discoloration. We have seen it hold up well over years of Utah sun.
How long does window tint take to install?+
Most vehicles take 2 to 4 hours. Larger vehicles or complex glass can take longer. We give you a clear timeline with your quote.
How long before I can roll my windows down?+
Wait 3 to 5 days after the install before rolling the windows down. This gives the film time to cure. We will remind you when you pick up the vehicle.
Can you tint a panoramic glass roof?+
Yes. We tint panoramic and glass roofs on Teslas, Rivians, and other EVs. A light ceramic film cuts the heat and glare from overhead glass while keeping the open, bright feel of the roof.
